The exhibition is about drapery, pattern, grid and color chart.
Ingunn Bakke embraces the computer as an artistic medium, and she explores new possibilities the digital media offers. She also combines new technology with traditional handicraft. Her works are material-based.
Weaving pattern as grid is cut with laser in MDF, illusion of drapery combined with color pattern is digitally made and large format printed on wool. A piece “Color chart” is printed on silk and hand stitched to the surface. Drapery is made of a reflex line with a grid of painted MDF behind, and reflex fabric is used in other works and the material is holed out by hand.
